Paul works on both basic and applied research projects within the State Climatology Office, as well as assisting with the data and computational side of outreach.
Professionally, Paul is interested in subseasonal predictability, especially predictability at weeks 3-4, which he thinks doesn’t get as much attention as it should. Paul has a Ph.D. in Climate Dynamics from George Mason University. In his free time, he likes to read, bake, and generally spend time outdoors.
