Courtney is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Environment and Resources program under Mutlu Özdoğan and Annemarie Schneider. Their research focuses on using high-resolution remote sensing and machine learning to map urban green infrastructure and evaluate its role in mitigating the effects of climate change in cities.
Courtney is originally from Eastern Kentucky. They earned a BS in Computer Science from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and an MS in Environmental Observation and Informatics from UW–Madison. In their free time, Courtney loves knitting, rock climbing, biking, and running.
