Join us on Thursday, November 5, at 6:30 PM for Extreme Weather Night with Amanda Latham, Climate Outreach Specialist, and Chris Vagasky, Wisconet Program Manager.
About the Event:
This presentation is part of the Science on Tap Minocqua series, a partnership between the University of Wisconsin—Madison, Minocqua Public Library, WXPR, and Rocky Reef Brewing Company.
The series provides a forum where the public engages experts in an informal, two-way conversation about important issues of the day. Speakers provide 15 or 20-minutes of opening remarks, then the floor is opened for questions, letting the audience join the conversation. The result is a dynamic, engaging community gathering.
Latham will discuss historic extreme weather events in Wisconsin, and Vagasky will detail how Wisconet is used to measure modern-day extremes in Wisconsin.
Audience:
This presentation is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
Registration:
This is a free event; no registration is required.
