Join us on Thursday, December 3 at 6:30 P.M. for “Armistice Day Blizzard of 1940: A Classic Gales of November Storm” by Ed Hopkins, Assistant State Climatologist.
About the Event:
Dr. Hopkins will use the 1940 Armistice Day Blizzard, which created havoc across Wisconsin, as a classic example of the numerous early winter storms that have passed across the Upper Midwest and western Great Lakes during the second week of November. He will describe some major features of that storm and talk about other memorable November storms.
This presentation is part of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum at Manitowoc’s Think & Drink series featuring historical and maritime experts.
