View annual modified growing degree day units from 1895 to the present day for Wisconsin’s nine climate divisions. These charts also show the five-year running average and average modified growing degree day units from 1901 to 2000.

The data used in these plots are from the Midwestern Regional Climate Center. They use 50 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit for the base and cutoff temperatures, respectively, which are commonly used to monitor the development of corn. Learn how to calculate growing degree days
