Though spring technically begins in March, April is often when it begins to look and feel like spring in Wisconsin.

As the seasons change this month, Wisconsinites can be kept on their toes with thunderstorms one day, followed by a snowstorm the next week. 

Spring is a welcome season of new beginnings, especially after a harsh winter! However, spring in Wisconsin hardly ever means a clean break from winter weather.

From historic blizzards and ice storms to record heat and tornadoes, it seems that February can throw nearly anything Wisconsin’s way.

With frigid temperatures and persistent gray skies, January is the true test of Wisconsinites’ perseverance.
